ATL Sarathi & Adoption Program

"Unlocking Innovation in Every School"

At iExplore Foundation, we believe that innovation should not be a privilege — it should be a right accessible to every child. Through the ATL Adoption Program, we provide holistic support to schools that need assistance in fully utilizing their Atal Tinkering Labs (ATLs), helping them become thriving hubs of creativity and STEM learning.

This initiative is part of our i4T – Innovators for Tomorrow mission, and is focused on empowering underserved schools to create a lasting culture of innovation.

IEXPLORE

What is the ATL Adoption Program?

The Atal Tinkering Labs (ATLs), established under the Atal Innovation Mission (AIM) by the Government of India, are designed to foster curiosity, creativity, and problem-solving in students from Grades 6 to 12. However, many schools — especially in marginalized regions — struggle to unlock the full potential of their ATLs due to a lack of training, mentorship, and structured programming.

That’s where our ATL Adoption Program steps in.We adopt such schools and offer 360° support, including:

    • Curriculum customization
    • Regular mentoring sessions
    • STEM workshops and exhibitions
    • Teacher training
    • Innovation challenges
    • Community engagement

As the official Atal Tinkering Lab (ATL) Nodal Agency for Erode and Namakkal districts, iExplore Foundation coordinates and mentors ATL schools across the region.

As the official Atal Tinkering Lab (ATL) Nodal Agency for Erode and Namakkal districts, iExplore Foundation coordinates and mentors ATL schools across the region.

Additionally, our Innovation Coaches personally visit schools in Coimbatore every week to conduct full-day sessions for students of Grades 6 to 9 in the ATL lab.
The sessions cover hands-on learning in:

  • Artificial Intelligence (AI)
  • Internet of Things (IoT)
  • Electronics and Science Projects
  • Robotics

Through this initiative, students have become increasingly motivated to participate in national and international innovation competitions, showcasing their creativity and problem-solving skills.

To sustain engagement, ATL Clubs are launched in each school, where office bearers are selected and trained to lead innovation activities. These clubs help nurture a culture of collaboration and continuous learning among students.
