VIDHYA – The Great Rotary Innovation Lab

The VIDHYA – The Great Rotary Innovation Lab was inaugurated at Government Higher Secondary School, Kavundampalayam, with support from Rotary Club of Coimbatore West and Pothys. The lab gives students access to modern STEM learning resources, enabling hands-on experience in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics.

Beyond the physical infrastructure, iExplore Foundation is running a structured two-year program covering STEM, Innovation, Design Thinking, and Entrepreneurship — built to equip students with 21st-century skills like creativity, critical thinking, collaboration, and problem-solving.

The program was launched in the presence of Rotary leadership and school staff, with the Guest of Honour address delivered by Rtn. Chella K. Raghavendran, District Governor, Rotary International District 3206.

Program Highlights:

  • Selected government schools are identified and equipped with a fully-functional STEM Innovation Lab, supported by Rotary Club of Coimbatore West and Pothys.
  • Students undergo a structured two-year curriculum covering STEM, Innovation, Design Thinking, and Entrepreneurship, delivered by iExplore Foundation.
  • Hands-on sessions are conducted to help students build real-world problem-solving skills through experiential, project-based learning.
  • Students are guided to develop innovation and entrepreneurship mindsets, with select projects and ideas showcased to Rotary members, mentors, and the wider community.

Inaugural Session

The inaugural session was led by Rtn. Devadas, President (2025–26), Rotary Club of Coimbatore West, along with Rtn. Muthu Azhakappan, Secretary (2026–27), and Navaneethakrishnan, Director, iExplore Foundation, who welcomed guests and outlined the vision behind the VIDHYA STEM Program.
